The lovely Fashion gang from Traffic People are bringing us a gorgeous and feminine collection for S/S 2012. With inspirations from 70's love, lace of the 60's, animal prints and holiday getaways, Traffic have plenty for all the sun lovers and fashion followers.

The fashion label Traffic People has stepped out of the fashion norm by creating an opulent store with a fairytale experience for the customer. It is a perfect example of how all boutiques should present their clothing and accessories.

This boutique was formed by two people with a clear creative vision in mind, a vision of indulgence, of floating silks and mystical patterns, for the girl who longs for old time glamour. The founders, Louise Reynolds and Mark Readman, have an attention to detail that has turned this label into a niche trade mark, making it very successful on high streets and online shops.

The floating silk maxi dresses and the mix of colours they use is vibrant and feminine. Their play suits are so girly, feel lovely on and are practical to wear in summer.

For AW12 Cheap Monday are slowing down, focusing on the long cycles and evolution in nature. They have chosen a naturalistic approach, looking at the periodic table, natural history, DNA and fossils. The overwhelming transformation from dead plants to oil takes over 100 million years. The universe is monumental and puts our lives into perspective.

This outlook has shaped the denim washes and effects as well as serving as inspiration for prints and colours. The processes in nature theme can be seen on the denim through fades and shades of fog and dust – both in colour ranges and washes. In addition they have used a lot of coarse structures to give a feeling of earth or gravel. Focusing on non denim fabrics in denim styles give the possibility to use a wider palette of tones and colours, while maintaining a 5-pocket look.

They found Eastern philosophy a fitting complement when looking for inspiration for the collection. A circular perception of time slows the pace and gives room for dedication and responsibility. To give heed to these ideas and to implement something diligently and faithfully, with great patience and discipline, leaves tracks as a contemporary martial arts influence in the collection.
