Alexa Chung has just added another role to her extensive modelling CV – the British model is the face of Vero Moda‘s autumn/winter 2012 campaign, shot in London.

The 28-year-old is snapped wearing vintage style pieces for the rich, leafy campaign, which harks back to the 1960′s. In her signature collared shirts, tweed jackets and black ankle boots, Chung poses around the streets of London looking so hip it almost hurts.

Alexa Chung is back again to front the new Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign for Vero Moda, after appearing in the Spring/Summer 2012 earlier this year. The British socialite has channelled her inner Sixties screen goddess again for her latest modelling job.

Photographed in London, the campaign was inspired by one of Chung's style icons, Jane Birkin. Donning a variety of pieces from the Dutch retailer, Alexa models houndstooth print trousers and boucle knits to a cocoon-shaped coat, high-waisted shorts and a white broderie anglaise shirt.

Asked to describe either a specific feeling or look when styling herself for shoots. "These are the people who inspire me: Keith Richards, Anita Pallenburg, George Harrison, Kurt Cobain, Marianne Faithful, Alice in Wonderland, Minnie Mouse, Grayson Perry," she said.

Using the idea of styling a Vero Moda flapper dress with boots and opaque tights, Alexa was also asked how she would dress up such an outfit. "I usually don't go for dressing things up as I like to dress things down, hence the boots and opaques which would be very simple. But if i were to dress up the flapper dress it would be with a statement cocktail ring, ballet pumps and a ribbon in my hair."
