Rihanna Loves Criminal Damage!

Rihanna Loves Criminal Damage!

Rihanna loves her Criminal damage! Spotted out and about in letterman jackets and sweatshirts.  Rihanna was  leaving her hotel ahead of her performance at Wireless Festival. She showed some love to two UK brands. Rihanna wore a limited edition silver and black version of Boy London's Snapback hat and a sweater from Criminal Damage. The Youth sweater features a picture of young boys smoking with the words "Youth Wasted On The Young", a variation on a quote that is attributed to George Bernard Shaw.
With a Criminal Damage letterman jacket tied around her waist and Nike Air Force trainers, Rihanna arrived in Toronto oozing laid-back cool regarding the hectic tour aheadRihanna  wearing an inordinate amount of Boy London and Criminal Damage recently, there are also embarrassing cases of unrequited love, On that occasion the brand paid the “star” to stop wearing its clothes but while that might be a bit extreme, it’s definitely something that needs to be monitored closely by labels and stockists alike. Customers may not be able to tell the difference between arranged and accidental endorsement but get it right and rich pickings can await; get it wrong however and it could damage sales.

Animal Front!

From animal motifs to kitsch cardi's...

Givenchy started the trend with those ubiquitous rottweiler print t-shirts that have been seen on what feels like every US celebrity and for autumn/winter, things have moved on to the animal print jumper. The trend spills over into Autumn/Winter  2012/13 with a variety of animal prints; with owl prints at Burberry Prorsum, cats at Sonia Rykiel and even bigger cats at DKNY.
Comfortable, cute and practical this is our kind of fashion. Team with skinny jeans or leather trousers for off-duty-model appeal. The humble jumper, that most trusty of staples to help battle through winter, is no longer just a jumper - it is a statement piece. No, jumpers never really do dip out of fashion, but this autumn/winter 2012 they're having a moment. Tactility and playing with pattern and print is key, with chunkier yarns and fabric mixes everywhere.

At Kenzo, the house's tiger motif was plucked from the archives and re-worked across bold grass-green and mustard knits. And for men, the AW12 menswear collections featured a plethora of prints and patterns across a range of garments, with one of the biggest influences the use of animal motifs – featured by several fashion designers.other designers to feature animal motifs included Paul Smith, whose collection had a nautical theme and therefore featured aquatic animals such as jellyfish, sharks, lobsters and octopuses applied to sweaters and other knitwear items.

Up-and-coming Italian designer Andrea Pompilio featured large images of ‘Cheetah’, the chimpanzee star from classic Tarzan movies, printed onto shirts and t-shirts to add a simian vibe to his already quirky collection.

Little else is needed to make you stand out this season, and not only will you be earning extra style points and be set for Christmas pullover parties but you'll be snug when the cold hits. Comfort and style, thank you autumn/winter 2012.
